Patricia Ann Lamaak, age 72, of Sac City, IA, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, IA. Ann was born on November 25, 1945, in Auburn, NE, to Gerald Ray and LaVera (Bruns) Lyon. She was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Nebraska City and graduated from Nebraska City High School. She went on to graduate from the Lincoln School of Commerce with an associate degree.
On January 21, 1993, Ann was united in marriage to Ronald Lamaak at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake View. They made their home in Sac City. Ann enjoyed a wide range of responsibilities while she worked at the Sac County Court House, retiring in February of 2010. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, working in her flower garden, traveling, fishing, and playing 500 with her card club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and watching her grandkids, attending their activities whenever she could.
Ann was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake View. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her beautiful smile and laughter will always be remembered.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ron Lamaak of Sac City; mother LaVera Lyon of Nebraska City, NE; her beloved dog Buttons; her three daughters: Theresa (Mark) Foster of Topeka, KS, Joni (Travis) Reiling of Webster City, IA, and Cathi (Ben) Ringgenberg of Sac City; three step-daughters: Brenda (James) Thompson of Onawa, IA, Janet (Mark) Petersen of Sac City, and Melissa (Terry) Rath of Auburn, IA; grandchildren: MacKinzie and Madelyn, Morgan and Cole, Derek and Sidney, Annie, Crystal, and Devin, Cory, Abbie, Ryan, and Jamie, Tyler, Logan, Kyle, and Kolten; and great-grandchildren: Charlie and Jack. Ann is also survived by her brother Ted (Phyllis) Lyon of Nebraska City, NE; and many extended family members.
Ann was preceded in death by her father Gerald Lyon.
