Margaret L. Teague, age 99, of Auburn, Iowa died on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Black Hawk Life Center in Lake View, Iowa
Margaret was born on August 21, 1919 in Herring, Iowa to James and Bertha (Voss) Blessington Sr. She grew up in the Sac County area, where she attended the Sac County Country School until 8th grade.
On October 14, 1940, Margaret was united in marriage to Russell R. Teague in Sac City, Iowa. They were blessed with one daughter, Mary. Margaret worked in the Teague Electric Store for 13 years and then cooked at the Auburn Public School for 14 years. She retired in 1982.
Throughout her life, Margaret was a member of the Auburn Presbyterian Church. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Illinois and Minnesota to visit their granddaughter and three special great-grandchildren. She will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a special sister. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Mary Obman of Auburn, Iowa; brother, Arnold Blessington of Lake View, Iowa; sister, Dorothy O’Tool of Odebolt, Iowa; grandchildren: Sherry Oppen of Rochester, Minnesota, Paul Obman of Auburn, Iowa; great grandchildren Logan, Juliana and McKenna Oppen; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends: Larry & Gerri Thobe; Charlotte Petzenhauser; & Eleanor Sigmon.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; 5 brothers: Melvin, Marvin, James Jr., Lloyd, and Lee; 5 sisters-in-law: Beth, Isabell, Vera, Ethel, and Blenna; brother-in-law, Bud O’Tool; and son-in-law, James Obman.
