Charlene Jacobsen, age 73, of Wall Lake, IA, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, IA. Charlene Kay Wilson was born on November 28, 1944, to parents Cecil and Ruby (Dutler) Wilson in Guthrie Center, IA. She grew up in Guthrie Center and graduated High School from there.   

     On November 16, 1963, Char was united in marriage to Phillip Jacobsen in Coon Rapids, IA.  This union was blessed with four children: Michael, Phillip Jr. “Pat”, Kimberly, and Bradley.  They made their home in Wall Lake.

    Char had a love for many things, living life to the fullest. She was always on the go. Char was an avid couponer and loved watching the TV show Survivor. She loved her flowers and being in the garden. Family was very important to Char, as was church. It meant the world to her when the family could attend church together. Char will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

     Survivors include her children: Michael (Judith) Jacobsen of Manning, IA, Phillip Christopher Jacobsen, Jr. “Pat” of Wall Lake, IA, Kimberly (Russell) Knobbe of Carroll, IA, Bradley (Anne) Jacobsen of Wall Lake, IA; grandchildren: Kayla (Brian), Krista (special friend Tayler), Reed, Ryan, Ross, Taya (Daniel), Allaetra (Aharon), Mikasia, Neeka, Kamaya, Stephanie (Jake), Tyler, and Zachary; great-grandchildren: Logan, Mason, Payton, Kaylie, Piper, Ryanne, and Kaien; brother Tim Wilson (special friend Elaine) of Waukee, IA; sisters: Jean (Roger) Andersen of Monteith, IA, Judy (Roger) Griffin of Ankeny, IA, Connie (Norman) Bosier of Winterset, IA; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. 

     Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip; parents Cecil and Ruby; parents-in-law; and grand-daughter Bailey Jacobsen.
