Marjorie Glasnapp, age 92, of Sac City, IA, passed away at her home on Monday, January 11, 2021.  

   Marjorie Lou Stock Glasnapp was born on August 5, 1928, to Henry and Olga (Weitzel) Stock in Lake View, Iowa.  She was baptized and confirmed at the Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake, Iowa. Marjorie graduated from Lake View High School and attended Buena Vista College for two years receiving a teaching certificate. She then taught school for two years. 

   On March 28, 1948, Marjorie was united in marriage to Myron Glasnapp in Wall Lake, Iowa. They were blessed with three children: J, Michele, and Michael. 

   Marjorie was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Volunteering was an important aspect in her life, and she served on various community committees which included the bereavement and hospice program at Loring Hospital.  

   Marjorie cared for her family with her cooking and baking. She is especially known and loved by her grandchildren for her sugar cookies and rice crispy bars. Marjorie loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making trips with Myron to attend their activities whenever possible. Faith in God and family were important to Marjorie and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.  

   Marjorie is survived by her husband, Myron; children: J (Sue) Glasnapp of Arlington VA, Michele (Dana) Dettmann of Sac City, IA, and Michael Glasnapp (Alice Brewer) of Lawrence, KS; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Samuel (Angela) Glasnapp, Maya and Thomas; Kathryn (Ryan) Fairchild, Gwenyth, and Julia; Camden (Angie) Suggitt, Alex, Sammy, Mallory, Kaylynn, Laina, and Raylee; Joel (Amy) Suggitt; Nicholas (Mary) Glasnapp, Emma; and Brooke Glasnapp.

   Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Pastor Rick Suggitt; and sister Donna Wessendorf.

   In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the following places: Loring Healthcare Foundation, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sac City, and/or the Sac City Public Library.
