   Delbert Graber, age 82, of Wall Lake, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 11th, 2017 at Twilight Acres in Wall Lake.  Delbert Walter Graber was born on February 24th, 1935 to Elmer and Annette (Von Glan) Graber on a farm west of Breda and was baptized on May 5, 1935 at the Wheatland Presbyterian Church.  His early years were spent growing up and working on the farm where they raised dairy cattle and crops.  Delbert especially enjoyed handling the work horses on the farm.  He attended school in Wall Lake, graduating from Wall Lake High School in 1955.  Upon graduation Delbert headed to Pennsylvania to work on the Graber Family Farm.  Soon after returning home to Breda to farm with his father and brother Richard, Delbert met the love of his life, Donna Mae Buse.  They were married on January 27th, 1957.  This union was blessed with seven children:  Karen, Sandy, Barbara, Marlene, Steve, Larry and Jerry.
   Delbert enjoyed farming of any kind and although getting his start in dairy farming, eventually moved to swine production, all the while continuing to raise crops.  Delbert and Donna started farming near Wall Lake, but after several years moved to a farm near Auburn, eventually settling on a hog farm west of Ulmer.  During his farming career, Delbert was also involved on several agricultural boards.  After retiring from farming, he stayed busy working at Breda Feed & Grain for several years.  Later he spent his time driving truck, and also enjoyed working on farm equipment. Delbert enjoyed attending farm auctions, collecting Farmall Tractors, pheasant hunting, fishing, eating out, and visiting with friends.
    Most of all, Delbert loved his family dearly and looked forward to any time spent with them.   Delbert enjoyed getting the family together with neighbors and friends, especially during the summer months. As time passed, the family continued to grow, but often the entire family could still be found gathering at Delbert and Donnas’ for Holidays and other celebrations.    Even as the number of grandchildren multiplied, Delbert always tried to make time to attend the grandkids Birthday celebrations as well.  Many of the children and grandchildren also cherish memories of tagging along with Delbert and driving to some of his favorite spots for drinks and a treat.
   Left to cherish Delbert’s memory are: wife Donna Graber of Wall Lake, IA; daughters Karen (Gary) Siebrecht of Odebolt, IA, Sandy (Gregg) Schmitz of Wall Lake, IA, Barbara (Dan) Stickrod of Odebolt, IA, Marlene (Dan) Steinkamp of Wall Lake, IA; sons Steve (Nancy) Graber of Westside, IA, Larry (Kelly) Graber of Breda, IA, Jerry (Amy) Graber of Treynor, IA; twenty five grandchildren: Eric (Kaylee) Siebrecht, Nathan (Amy) Siebrecht, Lee (Sena Brotherson) Siebrecht, Matt (April) Schmitz, Brad (Ali) Schmitz, Megan (Thomas) Heidenreich, Brian (Veronica) Stickrod, Brenda (Jamie) Schoneboom, Jennifer Stickrod, Brent Stickrod, Jason (Jenny) Steinkamp, Ashley (Chase) Wicker, Katie, Christine, and Amanda Steinkamp, Kaylynn Graber, Grayce, Grayden, Gavyn, and Greeley Graber, Austin, Cameron, and Brandon (fiance Diana) Graber; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers Richard (Betty) Graber of Sibley, IA, Reas (Nancy) Graber of Fort Myers, FL; many extended family members and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Nettie Graber; an infant brother; grandsons Clint Siebrecht, Stephen Graber.

“Larry, Kelly, and family;
We send our deepest sympathy to you and the entire Graber family. Delbert was always fun to see and visit with when we would come up for the Wall Lake Festival and other times when we make our trip back to Iowa. May you always know that Delbert is watching over each and everyone as a guardian angel. Larry --David will never forget the time you guys would run around and how they left you on the porch and your dad found you there the next morning. Remember those great times you all had together with each other.
With prayers and sympathy,
David, Kathleen, Henry and Hugh ”
