Dale Dean Rench, age 87, of Lynn Haven, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2017. Dale was born to Vivian and Agnes Rench on July 4, 1929, in Sac City, IA. He was one of eight children, grew up in the Sac City area, and attended school in Sac City.
Dale joined the United States Army in 1948 and was honorably discharged from service in 1952. In 1953, he married Jeanette Geary and together they had 3 daughters: Debra, Marilyn and Diane.
Dale worked 32 years for Noble Manufacturing, retiring when the company closed. He loved to camp and after retirement he spent the summers managing a campground in Okoboji, IA. Dale was very proud of his acreage, and spent many hours gardening, plowing and growing vegetables in his giant garden. Everyone in town knew where to go to get the best corn and tomatoes in the county!
Hunting, fishing, and camping were Dale’s hobbies. Dale was also known for his passion of meat cutting. He butchered for himself, family, friends, and almost anyone else who contacted him. Friends were always welcome at “The Meat Shed” where stories and pranks were plentiful and fun was always had by all. Dale was also a lifetime member of the VFW in Sac City.
He is survived by his daughters: Debra Jennings of Panama City Beach, FL, and Diane Zimmerman Stehr of Lynn Haven, FL; grandchildren: Bobbie Jo Rench of Panama City Beach, FL, and Brian Gibson (Stacie Blount) of Lynn Haven, FL; sisters: Marge Jarvis and Joanne Lents, both of Sac City, IA; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Dale was welcomed into his heavenly home by his beloved wife Jeanette, infant daughter Marilyn, and other family members.
