Beverly Neumayer

Beverly M. Neumayer, age 74, of Lake View, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines after a courageous battle with cancer. Beverly was born to parents Willard and Fern (Marks) Sprimont in Carroll, IA, on May 16, 1934. She was one of 12 children and was raised in Glidden, IA. She got her education there, graduating from Glidden High School.

She met and fell in love with Oliver Neumayer and they were married on May 21, 1955 in Carroll, IA. They enjoyed a loving marriage and had one son, Rodney.

Beverly worked as a Medical Assistant to Dr. Nichols and Dr. Morford in Lake View for 30+ years. She then continued to work serving the people of Twilight Acres and Black Hawk Life Care Center. She kept busy with various duties and hobbies including working bingo, knitting, and painting. She loved to read and also enjoyed playing the slots. Beverly was a great cook and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years: Oliver; son: Rodney (Connie) Neumayer of Centennial, CO; grandchildren: Ryan (Lynette) Neumayer of Aurora, CO, Kyle Neumayer and Crystal Neumayer of Centennial; great-grandsons: Riley and Luke Neumayer of Aurora; brothers: Duane (Donna) Sprimont of Venus, TX, Kenneth (Fran) Sprimont or Lake City, IA; sisters: Virginia Hoffman of Grand Meadow, MN, Dorine Hofbauer of Morland, IA; Sherry Pierce of Sac City, IA; and many extended family members and friends.
