Jean McCullough (Beatrice Eugenia Cosgrove), age 89, of Carroll, IA, formerly of Sac City, passed away on June 14, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Nursing Home in Carroll.
She was born July 21, 1923, in Cherokee, IA to the late Peter and Agnes (Collins) Cosgrove. She graduated from Immaculate Conception School in 1941 and graduated with a degree in Social Work/Education from Briar Cliff College. Jean taught one year at Marcus, IA. She was married in 1946 to the late Thomas L. McCullough. She was also preceded in death by her children: Thomas, Mary, Brian and Julia Roth; and great grandchild Cynthia Jorgensen.
Beloved mother of sons: Colin of Twin Lakes, Thomas (Janet) of Cedar Rapids, and Peter of New England, ND; daughters: Margaret (Mark) Grantham of Del Mar, CA, Molly (Sonny) Jorgensen of Storm Lake, Erin McCullough (Rich Eberle) of Lake View, and Lisa (Andrè) Toscanò of Manhattan Beach, CA; beloved sister of Peter Cosgrove of Cherokee and Margaret Ann Ohlson of Storm Lake, IA and cousin of Dot Herbert of Sioux Falls, SD; and beloved grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
