Denes Frank, age 69 of Wall Lake, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at his residence. Denes Paul Frank was born on March 20, 1955, to parents Chester and Betty Frank in Wall Lake, IA. He was the youngest of three boys. He grew up on the farm and attended school in Lake View, IA. Denes graduated from Lake View-Auburn High School in 1973.
After high school, Denes studied to be an electrician at Northwest Iowa Vocational School where he met his future wife, Sue. They were united in marriage on December 20, 1975, and enjoyed 49 years of a loving marriage. Denes and Sue were blessed with 2 children, Paul and Christine.
Denes spent his years doing what he loved most, farming the family farms. He loved what he did, and he loved the community in which he did it in. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren; he loved celebrating their accomplishments and talents. Denes was always sure to take them on his little adventures into town to get treats, or for tractor rides. He loved being outdoors farming and spending time with family and his close friends. Denes and Sue enjoyed traveling together in their free time. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sue Frank of Wall Lake, IA; children Paul (Lanée) Frank of Maryville, MO, and Chrissy Frank (Andy Leipold) of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren Carl and Lauren Frank, Brianna Muchai, and Lorelai Leipold; sister-in-law Cheryl Frank of Danbury, WI; several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
Denes was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Betty Frank; parents-in-law Lionel and Jane Breyfogle; and brothers Douglas and Kregg Frank.

“Sue and family, Larry and I are thinking and praying for you and your family during this time. I was shocked to hear about Denes. I can remember going to your house frequently to babysit and help take care of the kids. Sue and I would play games. I know that Denes made a lasting impression on everyone he met and he will live on in all of our hearts and minds. May the peace of God be with you all and know that he is in the arms of Jesus. ”
