“I got to know Russ and Mary many years ago when they lived on a farm not far from our family. Russ and I would chat for a minute whenever we would run into one another around Sac in more recent years. As I would walk away I would wish him well and call him "Russell". He hated it when I did that but he always knew it was coming and it always made him smile. I enjoy people with a sense of humor and he definitely had one. Rest in peace, Russell. I'll miss our chats.”
