   Dan Kennebeck, Jr., age 40 of Sac City, IA, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at his home.

   Daniel Dennis Kennebeck, Jr. was born on March 10, 1980, to parents Daniel and Debra (Wernimont) Kennebeck in Omaha, NE.  He grew up in Lytton, IA, where he graduated with the class of 1999, from Rockwell-City-Lytton High School.  He was a member of St. John Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lytton, IA.  Dan enjoyed going fishing and playing cards, especially cribbage.  He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

   Those left to cherish his memory include his parents Dan and Deb Kennebeck of Lytton, IA; brother Donovan (Rosa) Kennebeck of Lytton, IA; sister Dana (Allen) Jeannoutot of Bloomfield, NE; grandparents JoAnn Wernimont of Carroll, IA, and Dennis Kennebeck of Storm Lake, IA; nieces and nephews: Lexi Hall, Aubrey Jeannoutot, Cora Devitt, Casey Jeannoutot, Brock Jeannoutot, Pierce Jeannoutot, Dallas Kennebeck, Jay Jeannoutot, and Mila Kennebeck; many extended family members and friends.

   Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents Gerald Wernimont, Sr. and Judy Kennebeck; uncles Gerald (Jay) Wernimont, Jr. and Joe Kennebeck.

“My condolences to you. I was so very shocked and saddened to hear of Daniel's passing. I remember him so well from when we lived in Lytton, and we kept in touch on Messenger. Daniel would message me every once in a while - most recently on the 23rd - and we would each tell about what we were up to. He was a good man. He was always so kind and friendly to Peter, even when Peter was not being so kind and friendly himself, and I so valued him for that. May his memory be a blessing to you.”
