Together, they raised their son in Sac City where Ruth worked at the Bloomfield Egg Plant and at Noble Popcorn for many years.

Ruth was an active member of the First Christian Church in Sac City and was also part of the Church Ladies. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardening, canning, and cooking. Ruth also loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She belonged to several card clubs and loved to decorate at Christmas. Ruth was a member of the Loring Hospital Auxilliary. Ruth loved family gatherings and especially enjoyed time spent spoiling her grandsons Taylor and Zachary. Ruth always had freshly baked snacks to share with any family or friends that stopped by. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
