Rosanne Tucker, age 70 of Lake View, IA, passed away at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines, IA, on Saturday, April 4, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Rosanne “Rosy” Booth was born on January 1, 1950, in Lake City, IA, to parents Russell and Dorothy May (Schiernbeck) Booth. Rosy was baptized and confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Lytton, IA. She attended Lytton Elementary & Lytton High School.
Rosy was briefly married to Glen Tucker. The two of them resided in Tennessee. Rosy returned to Iowa in the early 70’s and worked in packing plants and factories most of her adult life. She would later follow in her mother’s footsteps working in the housekeeping dept. at Black Hawk Life Care Center and then taking over for her mother at Tjaden Motel.
Rosy met her soulmate, Jeff Steinkuehler, later on in life. The two of them shared everything in life together until his death in February of 2013. Rosy continued to provide a loving home for her great-nephew Kelden Freese, who she and Jeff had taken in and proudly cared for together.
Rosy enjoyed many things in life including crafting. She loved upcycling things to make use out of and new again. She also enjoyed fishing. More than anything else though, Rosy enjoyed caring for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her siblings: John (Jan) Booth of Waverly, IA, Dan (Tammy) Booth of Lake View, IA, and Brenda (Steve) Naberhaus of Carroll, IA; special nephew Kelden Freese of Wall Lake, IA; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
Rosy was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Dorothy May Booth; sisters: Barb (Bob) Patton, Bonnie Booth, Connie Jones, and Vicki Blessington; niece Cheri Schade; great-nephew Colton Wolfe; and special friend, Jeff Steinkuehler.
