   Danny L. Rench, age 74 of Milbank, SD passed peacefully on March 14, 2020, surrounded by family.

   Danny was born on July 11, 1945, to DeLoss “Choppy” and Melvina (Knox) Rench in Sac City, IA. Danny attended Sac City schools. After high school, he worked for Wunder Tire in Storm Lake before starting at Nobles Manufacturing. After its closing, he worked several years at Proliant in Lytton, IA, followed by Farmer’s Coop in Lytton as a feed truck driver until his retirement.  Danny was also a proud member of the Lytton Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years. 

   Danny was united in marriage to Pat (Pitts) on Dec 1, 1973, and was blessed with one daughter, Dena. After retirement, Danny and Pat moved to Milbank, SD to be closer to their grandchildren, although Danny liked returning to Iowa to visit his family and friends. 

   Danny was an avid card player especially Cribbage. Some of his favorite pastimes included watching Western shows and especially enjoyed spending time with his 3 granddaughters.

   Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Pat of Milbank, SD; daughter Dena (Mark) Van Lith, Milbank, SD; granddaughters: Mia, Marnie, and Macie Van Lith; siblings: Jane Bennett, Sac City, IA; Jerry (Linda) Rench, Palestine, TX; Tom (Jen) Rench, La Vista, NE; Kathy Martin, Sac City, IA; Marilyn Geery, Sac City, IA; and Donnie (Joni) Rench, Norwalk, IA; sisters-in-law: Marilyn Rench, Thorton, CO and Barb Rench, Sac City, IA; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

   Danny is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: DeLoss and William “Bill” Rench and nephew Jacob Rench.
