Dennis Price, age 78 of Sac City, IA, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City, IA. Dennis Harold Price was born on January 6, 1942, to parents Paul Price and Dora (Pace) Duncan at their home in Dow City, IA. He grew up in Dow City and Dunlap and was baptized at the Lutheran Church in Dunlap. He then moved to Denver, CO, at the age of ten with his mother. At 17 years old, Dennis enlisted to serve his country in the Army during the Vietnam War as a speed radio operator on November 10, 1959. He earned the rank of Corporal with special honors in marksman carbine and rifle and earned a good conduct metal. He was honorably discharged on November 9, 1962.
Dennis worked for the Army and the United States Postal Service for 40 years, retiring in April of 2004. He liked to read, listen to music, go for car rides and take road trips with his kids. One of their favorite things to do was have a picnic in the mountains. He also loved to take the kids to Tiny Town. Dennis was a simple man that loved his family. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Tamra Price (spouse Mike Fulcher) of Sac City, IA, and Donavon Price of Surprise, AZ; grandchildren: Samantha Neujahr of Helena, MT, Tabatha Neujahr of Alexander, AR, Kayla Neujahr of Sherwood, AR, Emma Farmer of Richmond, IN, Nathan Price of Surprise, AZ, and Ruby Price of Boston, MA; great-grandchildren: Piper, Violet, Clover, Evangeline, Jaedyn, Mathew, Grace; brother Paul (Marvin) Price of Westminster, CO; sisters: Anna Mae Samulson of Omaha, NE, and Juanita Bowman of Colorado City, CO; many other extended family members and friends.
Those preceding him in death were his parents Paul Price and Dora Duncan; daughter Stacey Price-Farmer; sisters Jean Benton and Deloris Andrews.
