   Marjorie Wadsley, age 88, of Nemaha, IA, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City, IA.  Marjorie Ina Noll was born to James and Lora (Devine) Noll on January 22, 1930, in rural Arthur, IA.  She was baptized and confirmed at the Ida Grove United Methodist Church.  Marjorie attended grade school at Blaine Township School #2 and graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1947.  She continued her education and graduated in 1948 from the Success Secretarial School in Ottumwa, IA, as a stenographer.   Marjorie was married to Charles J. Wadsley on June 5, 1949, at the Ida Grove United Methodist Church.  They were blessed with six wonderful children: Kathryn, Joseph, Shirlee, Lona, C. Alan and Roy.

   Marjorie worked as a stenographer for a few years and then became a very busy mother and farm wife. She attended church regularly at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, IA, and was the Bell Choir Director for youth and adults for 22 years.  In her free time, Marjorie enjoyed painting, scrimshaw art, and gardening. She and her husband enjoyed camping regularly in their airstream.  Marjorie also enjoyed buying and selling antiques.  She was very involved in her children’s lives and helped judge 4-H and open class fair entries. She served as a leader for  Girl Scouts, Brownie’s, and Cub Scouts. Marjorie was a Sunday School teacher for many years and was a member of the L.A.O. Neighborhood Club.  Along with being creative, Marjorie loved to bake and decorate wedding cakes.  She enjoyed every moment she got to spend with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

   Marjorie is survived by her husband Charles J. Wadsley of Nemaha, IA; children: Kathryn L. Wadsley of Storm Lake, IA, Joseph L. (Karen) Wadsley of Odebolt, IA, Shirlee M. Hawkins (companion Joe Hatcher) of White Bear Lake, MN, Lona L. (Don) Munger of Storm Lake, IA, C. Alan (Angie) Wadsley of Peterson, IA, and Roy D. (LeAnn) Wadsley of Nemaha, IA; grandchildren: Jenny (Ed) Witt, Mike (Cindy) Wadsley, Ben (Emily) Wadsley, Jake (Katie) Wadsley, Luke (Melinda) Wadsley, Aaron (Angela) Yender, Ann (Nate) Johansen, Kayla Wadsley, and Kaine Wadsley; great grandchildren: Wayne Wadsley, Grant Wadsley, Corey Wadsley, Juliet Wadsley, August Wadsley, Dana Wadsley, Carina Wadsley, Samantha Wadsley, Brielle Wadsley, Melaina and Lillian Yender, Gunnar and Isabella Johansen, William Wadsley, Isla Wadsley, Charlie Wadsley, Izzy Wadsley, and Christian Witt; sister-in-law Freda Noll of Ida Grove, IA; many extended family members and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Lora Noll; brothers: Donald Noll, Roy Noll, Wilmer ‘Bill’ Noll, twin brother Melvin Noll; sister Barbara Bennett; and granddaughter Carrie J. Wadsley.
