Kenneth L. Judd
Kenny was born July 17, 1916, in Sac City to Harry and Hazel (Blakesley) Judd. They lived in rural Sac City where Kenny attended country school and Sac City High School. He was united in marriage to Naomi Von Ehwegen on April 22, 1945, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sac City where Kenny was a member. Two sons were born to this union, Mike and Gary. As an auto mechanic and electrician, Kenny could fix just about anything. Through the years he worked for Harry Hibbs Nash Rambler, the Ford Garage, Town & Country Electric, Noble Manufacturing and Damm Electric. He retired in the early 1980’s. As a hobby he repaired guns and gunstocks, loved to work on anything mechanical, and made go-karts for his children. He was caretaker at Cory Grove Cemetery for many years. Survivors include his two sons: Mike Judd and Christine Lankford of Sac City; and Gary Judd and wife Gerry of Hinton, IA; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Holbrook of Phoenix, AZ; and extended family members. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and brother Keaton Judd. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 11th at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City with Pastor Andrew Ratcliffe officiating. Burial will be at Cory Grove Cemetery at 1:15 p.m, prior to the memorial service, under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. |
