Constance K. Ringgenberg

Connie RinggenbergConstance Kay Ringgenberg, age 67, of Sac City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 5th, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sac City with Pastor Andrew Ratcliffe officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, January 4th at the funeral home in Sac City.

Connie was born on July 4, 1940, on the family farm in Coon Valley Township, the daughter of Roy A. and Helen L. (Matter) Ringgenberg. Connie lived at home with her parents until her health failed. She entered Loring Care Center and later transferred to Park View Care Center.

Connie was baptized on August 4, 1940, and confirmed on April 11, 1954 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lytton, Iowa. She transferred her membership to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sac City.

Connie loved the 4th of July, cats, going for car rides, singing her favorite hymns, polka music, and dancing. She always had a bright smile and friendly hello for everyone.

Survivors include her mother, Helen Ringgenberg of Sac City; her sisters and brothers: Bonnie (Marlin) Henson of Sac City; Arlin (Geri) Ringgenberg of Nemaha; Rita (Tom) Kingsbury of Sioux City; Don Ringgenberg of Sac City; Reggie (Lesa) Ringgenberg of Sac City; and Renae Wirtjers of Sac City. She is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, and 28 great nieces and great nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Roy Ringgenberg in 1998.
