Yvonne Struchen

Yvonne died at the M D Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston, Texas, on August 2, 2007. She survived Leukemia treatment nine years ago, but this time it was not to be. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, August 7th at the Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church in Richardson, Texas. A graveside service will be held in Early, Iowa on Saturday, August 18th at 11 a.m.

Yvonne was born in Early, Iowa on January 10, 1935. She was the daughter of Fred and Lucille Struchen. She graduated from Early High School.

She was employed with Braniff Airlines first in Kansas City, and then Dallas for twenty-nine years. She was then employed with American Express Travel for twelve and a half years.

Yvonne made, and kept many friends as she went through life, who were very important to her. Yvonne loved flowers, but she requests that memorials be made to
M D Anderson Cancer Center.

As an only child, Yvonne is survived by many cherished cousins; Don Anker, Golden, Missouri; Jim Anker, Waukee, Iowa; Nancy Seats, Kirkwood, Missouri; Jack Houston, Camp Verde, Arizona; Linda Cambier-Brigger, Clarion, Iowa; Mark Cambier, Madison, Wisconsin; Don and Frank Struchen, Early, Iowa; and Rosemary Clausen, Palm Springs, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
