Shirley A. Kluver Shirley
Ann Kluver, age 69, of Lake View, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday,
June 20, 2007, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, in Omaha,
Nebraska.Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23rd, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View with Rev. James Travis officiating. Burial will be at the Wall Lake Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 22nd at the funeral home in Lake View. Shirley was born on June 27, 1937, in Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of William H. and Helen E. (Liechti) Walter. She grew up south of Wall Lake and attended country school and Wall Lake High School. On May 5, 1954, Shirley was united in marriage to Darrell L. Kluver at the Lutheran Church in Carroll, Iowa. This union was blessed with five children: Diane Lynn, Debbie, Cheryl, Cindy, and Randy. They made their home in Lake View. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Caring for her families needs and providing a comfortable home brought her great pride. She loved to sew and made beautiful quilts for her family. She also enjoyed reading and taking care of her flower garden. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Darrell; son Randy Kluver of Lake View; three daughters: Debbie and husband Dave Condit of Whittier, Iowa; Cheryl and husband Dave Swenson of Lake View; and Cindy and husband Tom Shelp of Auburn, Iowa. Other survivors include her eight grandchildren: Rachel (Mark) Schreiber, Charity Condit, Melissa (Louis) Collins, Caleb (Marta) Condit, John Swenson, Beth Swenson, Tanya Shelp and McKenzie Shelp; and great-grandson, Jensen Schreiber; her brother, Lowell (Ruth) of Lee Summit, Missouri; and three sisters: Audrey (Charles) Dixon of Springfield, Missouri; Beverly (Andrew) Peterson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Barbara (Ron) Fedderson of Brighton, Colorado; many extended family members and a host of friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Diane Lynn in 1955; three brothers: Duane, Kenneth, and Russell Walter; and mother and father-in-law, John and Katie Kluver. |
