Roland Charles Moore, 79, of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday June 19, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 22nd, at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Rolly was born on June 20, 1927, at Lake View, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Mildred (Messer) Moore. He graduated from high school at Lake View, and then entered the Navy in 1945. Rolly was united in marriage to Gladys E. Olesen in 1948 in Carroll, Iowa. Rolly returned to Lake View for a short while before becoming a computer engineer, living in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Until his return to Minnesota several years ago he lived in several cities in Wisconsin including Chippewa Falls. During his time in Chippewa Falls he enjoyed flying his own plane, being a member of the Civil Air Patrol, playing bridge and woodworking. In his retirement years, Rolly enjoyed traveling and playing cards. He lived a full and productive life and will be missed by his family and friends.

Rolly is survived by four children: Sandra Patchin of Deltona, Florida; Steven Moore of Plover, Wisconsin; Tamara Wohlers of Prior Lake, Minnesota; and Sherida Kostecki of Burnsville, Minnesota. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Gladys Esther Olesen Moore; parents Mildred and Elmer Moore; and grandson, Joshua Wohlers.
