Nancy L. Hendrickson Nancy L. Hendrickson, age 65, of Early, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2007, at Park View Care Center in Sac City following a lengthy illness.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, September 17, 2007, at the United Methodist Church in Early, Iowa, with Reverend DeAnn Klapp officiating. The Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m., on Sunday, September 16th, at the funeral home in Sac City. Nancy Lou (Nailor) Hendrickson was born on December 27, 1941, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of George and Esther (Kerr) Nailor. She grew up in Climbing Hill, Iowa, and moved to Sioux City after her father’s death when she was nine years old. Nancy graduated from Sioux City Central and received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Iowa Central Community College. On August 6, 1965, Nancy was united in marriage to David Hendrickson in Sioux City. To this union four children were born: Holly, Tobias, André, and Lew. They made their home southeast of Early. Nancy worked at Aalf’s in Storm Lake until it closed. Then after graduation from Iowa Central, she worked at the Chronicle, retiring in July of 2007. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Early and involved in the Women’s Club. Nancy enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, tatting, working in her flower garden, and genealogy. Nancy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandson, Kailab. Those left to mourn her passing include her husband, David Hendrickson of Early, Iowa; her mother, Esther Nailor of Sioux City; her daughter, Holly Hendrickson of Coralville, Iowa; three sons: Tobias Hendrickson of Early, Iowa, André Hendrickson of Dickens, Iowa, and Lew Hendrickson of Iowa City, Iowa; and her grandson, Kailab Hendrickson of Early. Other survivors include a sister, Sandra Watkins and her husband Kenneth of South Sioux City, Nebraska, a brother, Roger Nailor and his wife Cheryl of Scranton, Iowa and many extended family members and friends. Her father, George Nailor and sister, Phyllis Brown, preceded her in death. |
