Margaret Kluver, a resident of Angel’s Care Center in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, formerly of Sac City, Iowa, died peacefully on December 31, 2007.  Margaret was born on March 22, 1917, on a farm east of Carnarvon, Iowa, to Edward and Elizabeth (Poen) Clausen.  She graduated from Auburn High School and college in Storm Lake, Iowa, with a Teaching Certificate.  She spent two years teaching in a one-room country school.

In January 1938, she married Bernard Kluver.  To this union three children were born:  Henry Edward, James LeRoy, and Elizabeth Kate.

The family farmed south of Sac City and also lived in Lake View and Sac City, Iowa, as well as Texas, Arizona, and Colorado.  After her husband’s death in 1990, Margaret moved to live close to her daughter.  Margaret was a member of Merry Meeters Club.  She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church where she served in various capacities.  She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and board games and always looked forward to visits from her kids and grandkids.  She had two special cats that she loved to spoil.

Margaret is survived by her children: James (Sandra) Kluver of Thomasville, Georgia, and Elizabeth (Wayne) Fahlstrom of Hastings, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one special friend, Margrieta Skroms of Bismarck, North Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bernard, and son Henry Edward.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12th, with Rev. Matt Milligan officiating, at the Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City with interment at the Carnarvon Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.
