Mildred C. DeBourgh Mildred Cathryne DeBourgh, age
85, of Sac City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2007, at
Park View Care Center in Sac City, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, June 25th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sac City. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home. Mildred Murphy was born on June 12, 1922, in De Graff, Minnesota, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Byrne) Murphy. She grew up and attended schools in Varina and Fonda. On May 25, 1943, Mildred was united in marriage to Raymond DeBourgh in Sac City. She worked many years as a waitress in several Sac City establishments. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was very proud of her Irish heritage. Survivors include her five children: LuAnn Beager of McHenry, Illinois; Ray DeBourgh of Sac City; Diane (Gene) Welsh of Urbandale; Peggy (Dennis) Dettmann of Sac City; and Pat (Bill) Billerbeck of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren: Scott Corsaut, Chris Corsaut, Chad Beager, Curt Neumann, Todd Neumann, Tony Dettmann, Dan Dettmann, Angela Edmondson, and Tina Irlmeier; eleven great grandchildren; brother-in-law Walter McClintock of Sac City; sister-in-law Ilene Pellersels of Sac City; and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents, Albert and Mary Murphy; in-laws, John and Anna DeBourgh; and her three sisters, Mary Lou Murphy (infant), Jean Brouchous, and Helen McClintock. |
