Dennis H. Sperry, age 51, of Wall Lake, IA, died on Thursday, October 25, 2007, in a car accident near Odebolt.
    
Private memorial services for Dennis will be held on Tuesday, October 30th, at 10:30 a.m., at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake with Rev. Victor Johnson officiating.  Burial will be at the Silver lake Cemetery in Lake Park, Iowa.
    
Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, October 29th at the funeral home in Wall Lake.
    
Dennis was born on September 5, 1956, to Howard and Bertha (Rusch) Sperry in Lake Park, Iowa, where he grew up and received his education.  On December 10, 2005, Dennis was married to Rita Knapton in Wall Lake.
    
He worked for Lake Park Care Center nursing home in Lake Park, Northern Iowa Die Cast in Lake Park, and TriState Paving for several years before moving to Wall Lake.  He opened Sperry’s Small Engine in the spring of 2007.
    
Dennis enjoyed entertaining residents in retirement homes in the area with his guitar.  In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and watching old movies.
    
He is survived by his wife, Rita; six step children; 14 step grandchildren; his sister Donna Sperry of Wall Lake; and special friends: Jim and Darlene Siefkin of Lakefield, MN, and Leroy and Sharon Smith of Arthur, IA.
    
His parents preceded him in death.
