Charles William Helgerson, age 54, of Lake View, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Loring Hospital in Sac City.

Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 11th, at 5:00 p.m., at Ferguson Cemetery in Lake View with Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 10th at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View.

Charles was born on August 23, 1952, in Sac City, the son of Morton B. and Leona (Poen) Helgerson. He was baptized and confirmed at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View and graduated from Lake-View Auburn High School in 1970.

Charles worked as a farm laborer and for Pop N Time Popcorn in Lake View for many years. Survivors include his sister Inez Veerhusen and husband Rick of Sac City; his brothers, Alvin Helgerson and wife Deanne of Lake View, Lloyd Helgerson and wife Julie of Breda, and Milton Helgerson of Pomeroy; several nieces and nephews; and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morton and Leona Helgerson.
