Annie Amelia Saathoff, age 94, of Lytton, Iowa, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2007, at Park View Care Center in Sac City.
    
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28th at 1:30 a.m. at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
    
Annie was born on March 31, 1913, in Arthur, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph John and Lydia Grace (Bennett) Corrin.  She grew up in the Odebolt-Arthur area where she attended country school and graduated from high school.  She taught country school prior to her marriage on September 11, 1935, in Manson, Iowa, to Reent Saathoff.  They made their home near Rockwell City and Sac City before moving to Lytton in 1953.  This union was blessed with three children: Joy, Janet, and Jerry.  She was a member of Emanuel-St. John Lutheran Church in Lytton.  On November 17, 1987, Annie moved into Park View Care Center due to failing health.
    
Annie was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She would do anything for her children.  She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, sharing her produce with others, and working in her flower garden, raising gladiolas and mums, and filling her house with African Violets.  Annie also enjoyed sewing and will be remembered for her great cooking and baking skills.  She loved her family deeply and treasured their many visits.
    
Those left to mourn her passing include her children: Joy Reynolds and her significant other, Al Shimer of Perry, Iowa; Jerry Saathoff and wife Jennifer of Windsor Heights, Iowa; four grandchildren: Kathy Hansen and husband John, Wendy Nicolaisen and husband Willis, Ryan Saathoff, and Jessy Saathoff and significant other Dana Robinson; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her sister, Louise Kampen of Laurens, Iowa; and sisters-in-law: Mary Corrin of Early, Iowa, and Cena Junkman of Rockwell City, Iowa; many extended family members and friends.
    
Annie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Reent on September 29, 1998; daughter Janet; two brothers: Earl and Eugene Corrin; and sister Edith Brucker.
