Charlotte M. Trickel, age 87, of Ceres, California passed away peacefully on December 5, 2006.

Charlotte was the daughter of Charles and Ethel Trickel. She graduated from Rockwell City High School and went on to attend UNI Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls and Mercy College for Nursing in Fort Dodge. She went on to Texas to work as a nurse and later moved to California

While in California, Charlotte worked at Memorial Hospital in Cerres as an OB nurse supervisor, until Memorial opened a new hospital in Modesto, from which she retired in 1991.

Charlotte was a “My way or no way” person who never forgot her Iowa roots. She never forgot the “Iowa” song and when anyone would ask her where she was from she would sing it.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.

Her parents and a sister Irene Imhoff precede her in death.

Charlotte’s ashes will be buried next to her parents in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City in the Spring of 2007 with Farber & Otteman Funeral Home of Sac city in charge of arrangements.
