Albert L. Rardin
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1st at 2:00 p.m., at the 1st Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake View with Pastor Jess Thomason officiating. Burial will be at the Ferguson Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Lake View American Legion Eilert-Auen Post No. 133. The Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View. Albert was born on September 17, 1925, in Perry, Iowa, the son of Holly Otis and Crystal D. (Rans) Rardin. He grew up in Boone, Iowa. Albert served his country during WWII, where he was wounded while serving in Germany. On May 31, 1952, Albert was united in marriage to Pauline Steinblock in Harrison, Arkansas. Albert loved his cars, going to auto swap meets, putting puzzles together, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a police officer in Lake View for several years, retiring in 1988. Survivors include his wife Pauline Rardin; his children: Dennis Carroll of Arcadia, Cindy (Ray) Scott of Troy, TX, Mindy (Steve) Radloff of Wall Lake, Brenda Rardin and fiancé Doug Geibe of Wall Lake, Tim Rardin and fiancé Cathy Aschinger of Lake View, Bonny (Dale) Kennebeck of Carroll, and Dusty Rardin of Lake View; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; many extended family members; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters: Vicki Varnes and Dolly Ann Rardin; son, Albert, Jr.; two great-grandsons; and three brothers: Harold, Virgil, and Francis Rardin. |
