Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 10:30 a.m., at Emanuel-St. John Lutheran Church in Lytton for Shawn M. Hutchens. Reverend Wayne Pfannkuch will officiate and burial will be at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, Nov. 18th, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.

Shawn Michael Hutchens, age 32, of Lytton, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, following complications from a liver transplant.

Shawn was born on April 4, 1973, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of David and Carla (Ring) Hutchens. His family moved to Carroll, Iowa, when he was five, and he attended Carroll High School. Shawn later moved to Lytton.

He enjoyed going to auctions, fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Survivors include his parents, David and Carla Hutchens of Lytton; sister Jamie and brother-in-law Abe Clark; two nieces: Carlyee and Camie Clark of Lytton; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and God Parents: Kevin Ring and Cindy Hamilton.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jack and Velma Ring, William and Midge Nourse, and Bob and Irene Hutchens.
