Mildred J. Miller

Funeral services for Mildred Miller will be held Wednesday, November 16th, 2:00 p.m., at United Methodist Church in Odeoblt with Rev. Kathy Spracklin officiating. Burial will be at the Odebolt Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15th, at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Odebolt.

Mildred J. Miller, age 67, of Odebolt, Iowa, entered into rest on Sunday, November 13, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mildred Janet (Trulock) Miller was born August 10, 1938, to Lee and Irene (Segerstrom) Trulock in Ida Grove, Iowa. She attended Odebolt-Arthur Community Schools.

On October 1, 1955, Mildred married Gerald Ralph Miller at the United Methodist Church in Odebolt. This union was blessed with four daughters: Candra, Christine, Carna, and Cheryl. She was a avid homemaker. Mildred was involved in many community services including: United Methodist Women, VFW Auxiliary, and Women’s Relief Corps. She enjoyed watching her family grow, hosting family events and holidays, canning harvests from the family garden, reading, keeping in touch with friends, and porch sitting with family and friends. Mildred always had a kind word for all.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Gerald; daughters: Candra and husband Randy Irons of Lincoln, NE, Christine and husband Henry DeMan, Jr. of Storm Lake, IA, Carna Gajewski of Jackson, MN, and Cheryl VanArsdol of Denison, IA; four grandsons: Anthony, Aaron, Justin, and Preston; and five granddaughters: Jill, Amber, Kayla, Allison, and Brooke.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lee and Irene Trulock.
