Margery Frank

Funeral services for Margery Frank will be held on Thursday, August 11th, 10:30 a.m., at the Lakes United Methodist Church in Lake View with Rev. Rick Johnson officiating.  Burial will be at the Carnarvon Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, August 10th, at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View.

Margery J. Frank, age 74, of Carroll, Iowa, formerly of Lake View, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2005, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Margery J. Bielema was born on November 27, 1930, in Fulton, Illinois, the daughter of Martin J. and Minnie (Newendyke) Bielema.  She attended the Wall Lake School system.

On March 23, 1948, Margery was united in marriage to Calvin W. Frank at the Presbyterian Church in Rockwell City, Iowa.  To this union five sons and two daughters were born: Randall, David, Jeff, Clay, Keith, Shelia, and Barb.

As an active member of Lakes United Methodist Church in Lake View, Margery enjoyed singing in the choir and playing bells in the bell choir.  Her hobbies included reading, collecting porcelain dolls, cooking and baking.  She worked as a secretary in the medical records department at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City for over 25 years, retiring in 2003.

Margery was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be missed by her children: Randall (Mary) Frank of Norfolk, VA, David Frank of Phoenix, AZ, Jeff (Jodi) Frank of Rockwell City, IA, Clay (Renae) Frank of Breda, IA, Shelia (Michael) Englund of Minneapolis, MN, and Barbara (Evan) Kretlow of Rockwell City, IA; her 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Beth Ann (Larry) Lindstrom of Belton, MO; sister-in-law Esther Bielema of Wall Lake, IA; and brothers-in-law Larry Ohden of Laurens, IA, and Norman Ohden of Boerne, TX; extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Calvin August 30, 2000; son Keith; brother Henry Bielema; sister Kathryn, and great-granddaughter Kirsten.
