Lucile Williams

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday at the Oakland Cemetery in Sac City with visitation at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City 1 hour prior to the services with Rev. Donald W. Gibson officiating.

Lucile Williams was born July 19, 1902, at Lake View, Iowa, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. E. E. Speaker. She graduated from Lake View High School in 1919 and from Iowa Teachers College, Cedar Falls, in 1921. She taught for many years in the elementary schools of Lake View, Odebolt, and Lytton.

In 1935 she was united in marriage to Robert Williams of Odebolt. They lived in Schaller for awhile, then moved to Sac City. She enjoyed taking long walks, reading many books, and having coffee with her friends.

Lucile passed away Friday, April 22, 2005, at Park View Care Center in Sac City, at the age of 102. She is survived by her sister Maxine Hix of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and a niece Janet Still of Des Moines, Iowa, and all her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert August 21, 1987; a brother Everett and his wife; and a brother-in-law.
