Esther Pike Esther Davis Pike, the widow of Jessie L. Pike and a resident of Christopher Towers, died Friday, July 22, 2005. The daughter of George and Edna Irwin Davis was born and raised in Sac City, Iowa. Mrs. Pike was the long time financial secretary and treasurer of Sumner United Methodist Church, Sumner, WA, She was a summer parent for Japanese exchange students. After moving to South Carolina, she became a member of Lexington United Methodist Church, the Ladies Bible Class and Friday Bible Study at Christopher Towers. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Delos and Evelyn Corderman of Lexington, SC; grandson Kirby L. Summers of Norwalk, IA; granddaughters Julie K. Summers of Dallas Center, IA, Amy C. Purdy of Smithfield, NC and Laura A. Corderman of Bloomington, IN; and great-grandchildren Amanda, Nicholas and Brian Summers. Her daughter, Denise Corderman Summers predeceased her. The Service of Death and Resurrection will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 6, 2005 at Oakland Cemetery, Sac City, IA.
