Arline E. Waller

Visitation and funeral services for Arline Waller will be held on Thursday, June 16th, with visitation at 12:00 (noon) and the funeral at 2:00 p.m., at the First Christian Church in Sac City, with Reverend Sharla Hulsey officiating. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Arline E. Waller, age 90, of Sac City, Iowa, passed away at Park View Care Center in Sac City on Saturday, June 11, 2005.

Arline Elizabeth Wilcox was born October 23, 1914, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey J. and Mary (Wright) Wilcox. She grew up in Sac City graduating from Sac City High School. She was a life long member of the First Christian Church.

On June 14, 1934, Arline was united in marriage to Maurice Boyd Waller in Sac City and resided there her entire life. They were blessed with two sons: Larry and Gordon.
Arline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, gardening, playing cards, and volunteering at church. She worked in the Sac County Courthouse for 24 years and served as Sac County Clerk of Courts from 1976 to her retirement in 1984.

Arline and Boyd moved to Park View Care Center in Sac City on December 31, 1998.

Survivors include her son, Gordon Boyd Waller and his wife Sonya of Fort Dodge, IA; daughter-in-law Carol Waller of Tucson, AZ; two grandsons: Michael Waller and his wife Triny and Troy Waller and his wife Michelle, all of Fort Dodge; two granddaughters: Darcie Howard of Tucson and Janelle Becker and her husband Mark of Bremerton, WA; four great-grandchildren: Brandon and Sydney of Tucson and Kylie and Quinn of Bremerton, WA.

Arline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years, Boyd, on September 19, 2004; and her son Larry Waller, February 11, 1998.
