Gregory A. Bromley

Gregory A. Bromley, age 54, of Estherville, IA, formerly of Lake View, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2003, at Avera-McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Greg was born on January 2, 1949, at home in Lake View, IA, the son of John Sherman “Doc” and Verla I. (Eaton) Bromley. He grew up in Lake View and graduated from Lake View-Auburn High School in 1967.

He owned and operated Greg’s Place in Lake View, owned Bromley’s Clover Farm Grocery Store in Swea City, IA, was a department manager at Pamida in Estherville and Spirit Lake, IA, and for the past 14 years was “Team Leader” over the shelter program at YSI (Youth Services International) in Estherville.

He enjoyed gardening, his three lizards, and riding his motorcycle.

Greg is survived by his soul mate Belinda Nemmers of Estherville; his children: Nina (Scott) Davis of Fredericktown, MO, Damon Bromley of Mission, KS, Nick Bromley of Ames, IA, and Kaitlan (Nathan) Preston of Branson, MO; Belinda’s children: Jennifer Nemmers of Burt, IA; Jason Nemmers of Madelia, MN; and Jessica Nemmers of Bloomington, MN; his step mother JoAnn Bromley Corderman of Sac City, IA; his three grandchildren: Tanner, Ashton, and Evann Davis; and Belinda’s two grandchildren: Samantha and MacKayla; his three brothers: Kenneth (Judy) Bromley of Lake View, Dennis (Gloria) Bromley of Lake View, and Jeffrey Bromley of Peterson, IA; a sister Marsha Clark of Wheeling, WV; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents: Sherman and Verla Bromley, and brother-in-law Jerry Clark.

Memorial services for Gregory A. Bromley is Monday, October 20, 2003, at 2:00 pm, at the Lakes United Methodist Church in Lake View, Iowa, with Reverend Rick Johnson officiating. Marilyn Hundling will play the organ with congregational singing. Gloria Bromley and Julia Burmeister will take care of the flower arrangements. Burial will be at the Ferguson Cemetery in Lake View. Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View is in charge of arrangements.
